When I found out that there would be a Betty-centric Riverdale episode titled ‘When a Stranger Calls’, I freaked out because a) I am a Betty stan through and through and b) When a Stranger Calls is one of the greatest horror movies of all times. This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I yelled at the TV – my four standard Riverdale reactions now that I think about. This episode of Riverdale is brought to you by a cypher (I learnt a new word this week, kids), high school boys making shitty decisions and the reinforcement of librarian stereotypes (Tsk! Tsk!).Here’s our recap of the best bits of Chapter 17 – The Town That Dreaded Sundown.
Welcome to another week of Riverdale where, thankfully, *SPOILER ALERT*, no one dies. I swear the Riverdale writers are trying to send fans to an early grave with all of this drama. This week we FINALLY get to see more Kevin Keller and are taken into the belly of the beast that is Southside High (news flash – the students are not as friendly as we were originally led to believe). Keep reading for our recap of the best bits of Chapter 16 – The Watcher in the Woods.
This week we say goodbye to some characters (whose names you may or may not know), hello to Reggie 2.0 and welcome back to the man, the myth, the legend – Skeet Ulrich. Hold on tight because Season 2 of Riverdale is set to be a bumpy ride! Keep reading for our recap of the best bits of Chapter 15: Nighthawks.
Can anyone remember what their life was like P.R. (pre-Riverdale)? I sure can’t. Those were dark days. It feels like we’ve been waiting years for Riverdale to grace our screens again (it’s actually only been 154 days, but who is counting?); thankfully the return of Season 2 of Riverdale did not disappoint. Dream sequences, old time-y hospital outfits, shower-cuddles and fog! Good lord was there fog. Check out our recap of the best bits of Chapter 14: A Kiss Before Dying.

When you think of iconic Australian commercials, what comes to mind? “Not happy, Jan!” by Yellow Pages? It’s hard to forget the creepy Smith’s Chips Gobbledok which was a cross between a Gremlin and ALF. Mortein’s Louie the Fly was practically an Aussie mascot (until they got rid of him – RIP Louie!). How about our latest advertising gem – the Rhonda and Ketut story by AAMI? Maybe it’s the ones with the catchy jingles that stick with you. Like the “My Dad picks the fruit” song by Cottee’s Cordial, “You ought to be congratulated” by Meadow Lea, “Make those bodies sing” for Australian Bananas, “Good on ya, Mum” by Tip Top or Banana Boat. But what about Aussie ads specifically from the ’90s? Check out our list of 19 unforgettable Australian commercials from the ’90s and see how many you remember!
