You may have caught our recent post reviewing the Spanish telenovelas currently on offer on Netflix Australia. Of those, La Casa de al Lado has quickly become one of our favourite shows to watch. We love to talk about it, we love to mock it, and we love to love it. Here are our reasons why we think you’ll love it too.
You may have noticed that Netflix have recently added a bunch of Spanish-language TV shows, telenovelas and movies – yes, that includes Netflix Australia. This was a sight for sore eyes, because we have been suffering major telenovela withdrawals since En Otra Piel finished on SBS. So we watched the first episode of each of Netflix Australia’s telenovela offerings, so you don’t have to. And here, we help you to decide what to watch next!
It’s the FINAL episode everyone! *sob* I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the readers of these recaps – and especially everyone who has left me comments. It’s been great reading them every week and sharing watching this truly addictive show with you all. Let it be known, we here at Cactus Pop have emailed SBS (several times) asking for a new telenovela to be put on. They have said there’s no plans at this stage but that they have had a lot of similar feedback and they are passing it all on. So fingers crossed. Anyway, let’s recap this final episode! It’s a tearjerker!
Our time is coming to end with this one. After this week’s episodes, we only have four to go. I have to say, I am going to be sad to lose this show – it’s been fun! But enough of that, Monicana was going to “reveal all” to Gerardo at the end of the last episode, so let’s see if she followed through.
What better way is there to spend this Easter Monday public holiday, than watching new episodes of En Otra Piel (In Her Skin)?! And with only a handful of episodes left until the finale, the drama is certainly amping up. Let’s get into it.
